Sally is the founder of The Other Art Room and an artist whose practice is rooted in drawing and painting. Having studied Portraiture at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in London, receiving a commendation for her work, Sally was awarded a painting scholarship by The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers to complete a post graduate Diploma in Figurative Painting in 2021. Since graduating in 2022, she has combined full time creative practice with teaching and running an experimental art space, RuptureXIBIT, with fellow artists. Sally has over 12 years of experience teaching art to adults and children having returned to university to gain a PGCE in 2009.

Sally has a practice which is fascinated with transformation. She is a painter who connects with the sensations of the body and the world through performance as process. Inhabiting rather than observing, she sits within a state of constant transformation, exploring contradictions, uncertainty and the not knowing that arises.
